La Editorial Médica Panamericana, especializada en temas médicos, ha publicado recientemente la versión en inglés de la 6ª edición de las guías clínicas del Servicio de Enfermedades Autoinmunes del Hospital Clínic:Systemic Autoimmune Diseases. Diagnosis and Treatment - Clinical Guidleines. Como las anteriores ediciones, está llamada a ser una referencia en el campo de las enfermedades autoinmunes, ahora a nivel global.
Como editores han intervenido
los Dres. Ricard Cervera, jefe del Servicio de Enfermedades Autoinmunes del Hospital Clínic y del equipo IDIBAPS Enfermedades Autoinmunes Sistémicas,
Gerard Espinosa, Manuel Ramos-Casals, José Hernández-Rodríguez, Sergio
Prieto-González, Georgina Espígol-Frigolé y Maria Cinta Cid, todos ellos
médicos del Servicio y miembros de este equipo IDIBAPS. Asimismo, en la
elaboración de estas guías han colaborado otros 79 médicos de diversas
especialidades, tanto del Hospital Clínic como de otros centros nacionales y
europeos, por lo que constituyen el compendio de guías de práctica clínica más
completo en esta área médica.
Desde hace 30 años, el Servicio de Enfermedades Autoinmunes publica regularmente la actualización de estas guías y en la última edición, además, ha introducido nuevas entidades descritas en los últimos años (como la respuesta autoinflamatoria de la COVID-19, las neumopatías intersticiales con manifestaciones autoinmunes o las manifestaciones autoinmunes inducidas por tratamientos biológicos antineoplásicos), así como los avances en las nuevas terapias biológicas.
