Ana Belén Azuaga i Beatriz Frade, Premis Extraordinaris de Màster de la Universitat de Barcelona - Curs 2020-2021

 

Les Dres. Ana Belén Azuaga i Beatriz Frade, estudiants del Màster en Malalties Autoimmunes de la Universitat de Barcelona en el curs 2020-2021 i, actualment, especialistes del Servei de Reumatologia de l’Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, han estat guardonades amb els Premis Extraordinaris de Màster de la Universitat de Barcelona, que es concedeixen als estudiants que obtenen les millors qualificacions en el comjunt de tots els màsters oficials univeristaris.

El Màster en Malalties Autoimmunes de la Universitat de Barcelona és el primer Màster Universitari a Europa que aprofondeix de forma integral en les malalties autoimmunes, relacionant els aspectes bàsics de la autoimmunitat amb els clínics de les malalties autoimmunes, tant sistèmiques com específiques d’òrgans, que fins a l'actualitat s'havien tractat separadament a nivell universitari. El màster ofereix un programa exhaustiu, integral i complementari, dirigit precisament als professionals de la Medicina que cerquen l'excel·lència en la seva formació per a atendre pacients amb malalties autoimmunes i per a desenvolupar línias de recerca en aquesta temàtica.

Maria C. Cid, recognized as a Master of the American College of Rheumatology

 

Maria Cinta Cid, Senior Consultant of the Department of Autoimmune Diseases at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, head of the Systemic Vasculitis Research Group at the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS) and coordinator of the "Vasculitis and Myopathies" Module of the Master's in Autoimmune Diseases of the University of Barcelona, ​​has been recognized as a Master of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) during the ACR Convergence-2022 that took place on November 10-14, 2022, in  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Recognition as a Master of the ACR is one of the highest honors the College bestows. The designation of Master is conferred on ACR members, age 65 or older by October 1 of the year in which they are nominated, who have made outstanding contributions to the ACR and the field of rheumatology through scholarly achievement and/or service to their patients, students, and profession.

We cordially invite you to attend the GRAHAM HUGHES AUTOIMMUNITY ORATION-2022, Annual Lecture under the auspices of the UB-GSK Chair for Autoimmune Diseases, where Prof. Yehuda Shoenfeld will deliver a talk on “The Mosaic of Autoimmunity”.

The event will take place on Friday, 2 December 2022 - 12 m (midday) CEST (Barcelona time) at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona and will be also showed by live streaming at the Aula Clinic You Tube Channel.

Prof. Yehuda Shoenfeld is Professor of Medicine (Emeritus) and Past Incumbent of the Laura Schwarz-Kipp Chair for Research on Autoimmune Diseases at Tel Aviv University, Founder and Head of the Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases at Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer, Israel, and President of the International Congresses of Autoimmunity, and has made many contributions in the field of autoimmune diseases, including the original description of the concept of "mosaic of autoimmunity" for the pathogenesis of these conditions and the Autoimmune/Inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA) - also known as "Shoenfeld syndrome".

Prof. Shoenfeld keeps a close relationship with the Department of Autoimmune Diseases of the HospitalClínic of Barcelona, including the co-coordination of the "CAPS Registry" and the "ASIA Registry" and mentoring of many fellows and PhD students.
